Pillar Candles

Pillar candles are also known as column candles. They can be used without a holder to surround them but will need a plate or something to place them in to catch falling wax. They often come with one or more large wicks that run through the entire candle from top to bottom. The larger the candle the more hours of light it will offer. Pillar candles are often thick in size and are usually 3 inches in diameter.

Specialty pillar candles are surfacing more and more in department stores as well as candle stores. These radiant candles can be shaped or hand sculpted into a design and painted with various scenes.
